Project: Altered Sherlock Holmes T-shirt

Equipment used: sewing machine and serger
Summary: Starting with a standard T-shirt two sizes larger than my normal size, I cut ~6 inches off the bottom and fashioned it into a band which I serged to the gathered bottom, after taking in the sides of the shirt to make it fitted. I removed the sleeves at the seams then reattached the edge of the resized arm band to the sleeve hole, which was gathered at the top. I removed the neck band, serged the raw edges, ironed them under and then did a top stitch with my sewing machine.
